| Our Focus | The Junior League of Kankakee County is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through he effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is strictly educational and charitable. The Junior League of Kankakee County's focus is on serving the needs of our community, especially young children and families. | Stone Barn | The Lemuel Milk Carriage House, know locally as the Stone Barn, is one of the oldest historical structures in Kankakee county. On June 4th 1979, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. Built by pioneer farmer Lemuel Milk in 1860, the building has served as Headquarters for the Junior League of Kankakee Country since 1976.
