Our Focus
The Junior League of Kankakee County is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through he effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is strictly educational and charitable. The Junior League of Kankakee County's focus is on serving the needs of our community, especially young children and families. Our signature project, Simple ACTS (Assisting Children to Succeed) addresses many issues important to children and their families.  To learn more about our important outreach projects, click here.
Stone Barn

The Lemuel Milk Carriage House, know locally as the Stone Barn, is one of the oldest historical structures in Kankakee county. On June 4th 1979, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. Built by pioneer farmer Lemuel Milk in 1860, the building has served as Headquarters for the Junior League of Kankakee Country since 1976.  To learn more about the history of the Stone Barn as well as rental information, click here.
